Just another WordPress.com site

Where to start? I guess the basic demographics will do…My name is Audrey Jensen. I am 21 years of age and am a senior at the University of Wyoming. I am majoring in journalism and minoring in religion. I grew up under the beautiful Big Horn Mountains and developed a love for everything nature. I recognize the deep connection I have with my surrounding environment. I believe this connection was the spark that ignited my passion for journalism.

Big Horn Mountains By Mick Birge posted Aug 25, 2010 at 7:26AM

Because I believe so deeply in the notion that all of life is connected, I rely heavily on news sources. I think it’s direly important that people pay attention to what’s happening in the world around them, even if it is on opposite stretches of the world.

Religion is my minor and I am not afraid to pronounce that I am a pantheist. The way I see it, religion is one of the oldest constructions that we can analyze in history to unlock stories of our past, and in turn explain and understand certain aspects of human interaction and the society in which we live in today. Religion has always been an interest of mine and I hope to one day be able to study different religions of diverse cultures around the world.

I love to research, I love to read, I love to write, and I love to learn new things. I’m really at a point in my existence where I want to explore and discover truly what life has to offer. My two jobs and education really allow me to express my interests. I work at the school library, where I help students find relevant sources for their research papers, so my nose is always in a book, soaking up new information. I also bartend, and I LOVE it! I really enjoy working with people and getting to understand different personalities.

I am a driven, passionate young adult with the view that life ahead of me is an open book. After graduation I hope to work in the media/news industry.  This blog, for me, will be a showcase of all the work done my senior year. It is starting as my Online Journalism class project but I hope to evolve it into much more then just a class blog assignment….

So be watching for my innovative insight on anything from breaking news, to interesting facts about our history, to my love for all things fashion and sports, as well as simple stories and photos taken along my journey through life. : )

For the love of life, laugh as often as you can!
